Across CT organizers & groups are planning for protests, educational outreach, and shut-em-down” SM campaigns.

Furever Friends Puppy Mill of Danbury has clearly underestimated our CT animal rescue community. In recent years, the rescue community played a big role in 4️⃣ CT puppymill stores going out of business.

But it feels like this one in Danbury may have unleashed a new wave of determined individuals eager to fight fiercely.

Additional locations to be added: the puppy mill retail stores in Bridgeport and Norwalk. Private details in progress.

Thanks to foster mom Krista, this baby was rescued as well. He is already playing with dogs and purring nonstop. We have many cats waiting outside in the cold though 🥶.
We can only assist if they have a place to go. Please consider fostering at least one cat. It will make a huge difference, you will be saving a life, and it is free and temporary. We provide all supplies.

Our heartfelt appreciation for Red’s foster Mom Katty, who stepped up when no one else would.
Poor Red, also known as Asher, was in a critical condition when he arrived at the veterinary hospital this morning. His test results for FIV and FELV were negative, but he has been diagnosed with a severe case of 'pillow foot,' for which there is no cure. It’s an autoimmune disease. At this time, he cannot walk around without bleeding and being uncomfortable.
For now, Red will require a minimum of two weeks of medication ( Doxycycline and Gabapentin) after which his condition will be reassessed during a follow-up appointment. We are grateful to those who honored their pledges, as unfortunately, only one-third of the individuals who completed the pledge form fulfilled their commitment. We were almost $500 short.
This is a pressing concern, as unfulfilled pledges hinder our ability to provide assistance to other animals in need. The cost of veterinary care is substantial, and we cannot afford to provide medical attention to every cat we encounter. We kindly request that you be mindful of your pledges.

Again, thank you to everyone who has donated towards Red’s bill.

11/19 Update: Trapped and brought to safety.

Placement secured. We’re hoping to trap George ASAP. Unfortunately, we all work during the day. Is there anyone who can help with trapping him then transporting him to Windsor, CT? Has to be morning or afternoon..
Doesn’t have to be the same person. We would provide a trap, show you how to use it and also pay for gas. ⛽️

The person would wait in the car and check the trap periodically.
