We moved Moo's babies outside to the garage now that our little cold "snap" is gone! MOO's definitely got one roo, and it is...a ridiculous chick. He's gotta either calm down or a visit to camp might be in the future!

One of Nature's Heritage Farm 's roos, who always hangs with my birds, is INFATUATED with them though. Tidbitting, talking to them, watching them so closely. Moo is now calling him Papa (because Moo is, of course, already the chicks' daddy).

It's pedicure day! I only took pictures of Rory, but all 5 equines and all 5 goats got their feet done!

Rory decided to show off and let Kyle Copeland start halterless, because she's cool that way.

I think we have a Tom, watcha think? 🤣

Done at last! We get better at how we set it up every year, haha

Dandelion Homestead and I dragged my poor hubby outside and got the run-in shed done at long last. It's a pallet shelter with a hoop-coop style roof on one side, and the other is essentially a hoop coop right on the ground. The shorter shelter *should* keep Luke out, giving the donkeys a Luke -free place to hang. Theo certainly likes it! It also has extra pallets, which will help break the wind. I need to staple some feedbag-tarps on to them.

This means I finally got to lock them out of the barn for the summer. Huzzah!!! 😁😁

The messiest job on our Homestead might surprise you. It's not mucking stalls, or gardening. When you're me, it's feeding Nature's Heritage Farm 's Luke. Because I spoil him rotten 🤣

Steps to feeding Luke:
1. Put his 4 qts of unbeetable in his food dish.
2. Add a bucket of water. Stir by hand sp everything is floating and soaking.
3. Come back in 5-10 minutes with another bucket of water. Add it and stir again with your hand, being sure to break up all the clumps. You will be covered near to your armpit in food. Make sure to hand feed him however many bites he decides he needs while you're stirring, he is a princess after all.
4. Let Moo rinse your arm off with with either a bucket or the hose. Get soaked by back spray, but allow it because he adores being helpful and you don't want to ruin it.
5. Bring maybe a quarter of a bucket more. Repeat step 3 and 4. He'll probably also ask you to bring him bites on the other side of the run-in too. Oblige him, because he deserves to be a spoiled princess.

I kinda love these boys. Super tempted to take one of them from Nature's Heritage Farm if all of Moo's babies are girls like they should be.

He's a Flames baby, I think crossed with an Easter egger based on his ridiculous coloring and his little wig. I like their funky splotches of color 🤣

Saw a weird shadow in the barn window last night...went out to see what was hanging out there (Mind you, this is like 8pm). A rooster, being the incredibly intelligent animal he is, has decided he should roost on a windowsill..outside. like a pigeon. He's clearly done this multiple days too.

I guess it's at least a hard to get to spot 🤣

Since Coretta and Martin moved themselves to the barn to join Nature's Heritage Farm 's flock, two of her white roos, Hawk and an ISA Brown decided to move themselves up 🤣

Also. Feeding treats barefoot is a gamble. Some of them think toes look absolutely delightful.

Woops. Didn't pay attention to which broody I was taking eggs from. Ameracauna? She will quietly complain and move on with her day. Easter egger? She will try to tear me apart. It's my very first chicken bite 🤣
