It is with deepest sorrow that I share the sad news that my companion, Calvin, has crossed over the rainbow bridge.

This closes the Drury Lane chapter in my home. Calvin was my last lab. For those who have had the honor of owning multiple dogs, you know that they all have distinct personalities. Calvin loved adventure. He loved retrieving. He loved to swim. Schodack Town Park was one of his favorites places. He enjoyed being in the Drury Lane pack. He, along with Jake, Josie, and Paulie enjoyed working as a therapy dog. Overall, he was a happy, content dog. After Paulie passed in April of 2024, it was just Calvin and me to the end. Many were amazed that he celebrated his 17th birthday in October. We had a bond and he didn't want to leave me. My house is quiet and his bed is empty. My heart aches for him and all of my Drury Lane Labradors... Jake, Abby, Tanner, Lucy, Minnie, Josie, Paulie, and Calvin. You are all together again.

15 years ago during a snowstorm, Drury Lane’s incredible mama dog, Josie, gave birth to 13 puppies! What an over achiever 😉

We have lost many over the years. Most recently, Miss Molly in November. Two remain and celebrate their 15th birthday. Micah and Little Man. Happy Birthda, Boys!

I remember that day /night well. Meg Condo and Alex Kelly were instrumental in the deliveries🙂 Dr Claire Hamer and Nassau Vet clinic were top notch!

Wishing Calvin the happiest of birthdays today.

My boy is 17 years old. Wow.

He’s a bit slower, but walked into the house the other day carrying a toy. He still has it.
