A huge part of training at Oakla circles around focusing on mindset! Building a confident, secure dog that trusts their handler is the secret to all of our clients success. All of these dogs have never even seen a dock or a ramp for that matter! Today was all about using their confidence and trust in a new world. Big shoutout to Woodburn Canine for having us out 🫶🏼🐾

with kelvin being a known forever street pup, taking him into foster was going to be a wildcard. If I would have never known that, I would’ve thought he absolutely had a family before. cute, smart & fun!! what more could you ask for?! 🥹💗🐾

Building a relationship is so much more than just loving and nurturing your dog. It exceeds the niceties of petting, kissing them & carrying them around. It is the nitty gritty of pet ownership. Creating strong boundaries, clarity & fair expectations. It is regulating your own emotions so you don’t sacrifice theirs. This is what committing to your dog is. ✨💗
