We had tons of fun at the Lagniappe Classic in Louisiana! We came away with some great wins and loved our time there despite the grueling 5AM–11PM days. Our grooming setup had 16(!) crates—only three non-Collies—so it made for a wild weekend!
SMOOTHS
☕ Brew — Ceilidh's But First Coffee
We got to see Brew for the first time in a few months since he headed off to grow up with Killyleagh Collies, and we love how this big young dog is coming along! It was just his second show, and he held his own—even if he's a bit of a moose learning to stay focused around GIRLS. He picked up both majors, going BOW from the BBE class.

🪻 Cailín — Ceilidh's Heathered Horizon
Something completely clicked for Cailín this weekend and she showed like a pro! We’re so excited to get her out more now that she understands the assignment and has so much fun in the ring. We were so proud of this sweet, silly puppy!

🍵 Boston — CH Ceilidh's Tea Party
Boston made her debut as a special and was reunited with her bestie, THE handler extraordinaire, 8-year-old Natalie, for the first time in three years. Boston and Nat make such a special pair, and we were thrilled to see them back together. They came away with four Selects, and Natalie is officially Collie-bitten—even with a household restriction on hair 😂. We can't wait until she gets her own Collie, whom she’s already visualized and named 😉.

ROUGHS
🫐 Bramble made his return to the ring after growing up and growing some coat. It was his first time in the ring since 7 months old, and he remembered what he was doing with very little fuss or dramatics. He was WD twice, but what impressed us most was his exceptional temperament. He was easy, quiet, and patient all weekend—a true gentleman in every way. He was our go-to for little kids wanting to meet a Collie this weekend—endlessly gentle and sweet with children, in true Collie fashion.

🌞 Disney — Ceilidh's Where Dreams Come True
Disney also blossomed at this show after a hiatus to grow up and put on coat. She really stepped up, showing she’s maturing both physically and mentally. As a cherry on top of her beautiful showmanship, she went WB/BOW for a 5-point major out of BBE! Her brother Coast started and finished his CH at this show last year, so she clearly needed something to brag about too!

🪄 Bibi — Ceilidh's Wych Hunt
Bibi was as charming as ever, drawing attention ringside with her magnetic cuteness. Unfortunately for her, she shared the BBE class with Disney, who was on fire, but she still showed her heart out! She’s the kind of puppy who gets paraded around the show for constant cuddles and entertainment, and we just adore her.

FRIENDS & FAMILY HIGHLIGHTS
🧹 Collies of Wych's Pepper (a Tristan granddaughter) went WB for a 5-point major, and Pumpkin (Cailín’s littermate) went RWB to a major.
🔮 Chrysalis Collies' P’nut picked up three BOVs, one BOS, two Group 1s, and a Group 2! Her older brother Charlie finished his championship and has already made progress towards a Grand.
🎸 Moonwind and Stardust’s Jessie looked fantastic, going BOS three times and BOV on Sunday. They also brought out two rough girls for their debuts, and both were quick studies! We were excited to see Angéle and Emilie (Cullain × P***y, a Memphis daughter)—they absolutely lived up to expectations. Both girls are full of virtues, and we’re excited to see more of them in the future!
👑 Tez Bryars' Sandy (Tristan × Jade) went WB twice and is now just two singles away from finishing her CH!
And finally, we were also keeping busy "training" our Collie newbie, Hailey. She was with us for the entire weekend and jumped into every part of the experience—even helping bathe dogs before the show! She hasn’t quit yet despite the brutal days, endless grooming, and all the manual labor... so we think we’ll keep her! She got tons of ring experience too—finishing Charlie’s championship and earning wins over specials after his move-up.
Our whole crew had a fantastic weekend—we love our little Collie family! We didn’t get to socialize as much outside our corner this time (we were either busy, exhausted, or deep in conversation with each other 🙈), but we hope to catch more of you at upcoming shows!
I only got a few pictures in Kenner—will post more later if I find some more that aren't just blobs of hair and chaos.
