Hello! Here at Bird Gardens of Naples, we take emergency preparedness very seriously. During hurricanes, wildfires, and other emergencies, we are responsible not only for evacuating our own resident birds, but also for assisting members of the public who need help evacuating their birds.

To ensure we are prepared, we maintain more than 250 bird carriers ready for emergency use. Unfortunately, we have run out of space to store them.

We are currently seeking a weatherproof storage solution such as a shed, enclosed trailer, conex/shipping container, or similar structure. It does not need to be fancy or air-conditioned just secure, enclosed, and able to protect the carriers from the elements.

If you have something available to donate, loan, or sell at a reasonable cost, we would love to hear from you. Thank you for your support and for helping us continue to be there for birds when they need us most.

Together, we can ensure that no bird is left behind during an emergency. 🦜❤️

This Rescue spotlight shines on a rescue that is very well-known in the world of avian care.

The Phoenix Landing Foundation is a welfare organization dedicated to helping parrots through its adoption program because almost all birds need a succession of good homes; hosting regular seminars about parrot care to improve the quality-of-life for birds; and promoting conservation for wild parrots through its ecotours. Phoenix Landing has rehomed over 3,600 birds to date, and always has many others still waiting for its help.

The Tour will be stopping at Phoenix Landing Foundation on July 31, 2026
