As Colleen and I have informed many of you, Bark Bus Depot has been under contract with a new buyer since May. I have been waiting to make it official until the closing date was confirmed and contract negotiations were final. We were set to close September 15, but circumstances have changed, and the new closing date is set for this Friday, September 2, 2022. For those of you who were not informed, I do apologize for the short notice. As many of you know, our business has been struggling since reopening after the "shut-down" in 2020. I want to thank all our loyal customers past and present who have allowed us the privilege of caring for their pets, especially those who have remained with us during these past two years. We know you have other wonderful choices in the Naperville area for your pups and we really appreciate your dedication. We have had some amazing staff over the years and though many of them moved on after Covid, I would like to thank ALL of you for your service and unconditional love in the care of our hippie hounds. I know it was not always easy but despite all our differences, everyone put our pets first and foremost. As a first-time business owner, I have to say thank you to all those who helped me navigate through so many challenges especially through these past two years post Covid. It has been a blessing and a privilege getting to know all of you and your furry children and I thank you for the opportunity to share in the love of these amazing creatures. The new owners are Christian McCoy and Anastasi Tirovolas who operate a successful pet business in Carol Stream called The Gold Leash. I have gotten to know them both and we share the same love and dedication for all our pets. They believe every dog should get a chance to play and they have a trainer on staff. I am so grateful to hand over the reins to such lovely people. You will continue to see Colleen's beautiful smiling face as well as Abigail, Siobhan and Fiona. Business will continue as per usual but, The Gold Leash will be the new name for Bark Bus Depot. There will be some differences in structure and prices which the owners will share with you in due time. I wish all of you many blessings, love and PEACE
