I have placed many dogs in the homes of my friends and families and love to see them grow. I believe the Labrador should be breed to reach its full potential, whether you choose to hunt, show or simply have the best companion ever. I strive to raise dogs with excellent temperments, nice looks, all three colors, good drive and good health. Unfortunatly as with any breed there are always chances eve
n with health clearances on parents (OFA, OFE, and Eyes) for recessive genes to come forward creating unforseen problems such as hip, elbow or other health issues. At any point one of these issues is proven to be a genetic problem we would always be willing to replace the pup when the family is ready. These are things as breeders that are heartbreaking to see- but they do happen. At age two all of our Labs are tested for hips and elbows and sent to OFA for results and eyes cleared by CERF, I also test for EIC, and am in the process of doing echocardiograms on my dogs.. At 3 days old the pups go to the vet for their first check-up and dew-claws removed and again at 6 weeks for another exam and 1st shots. All of this is done before the pups go to their new family's to try and ensure good health. The pups are also wormed at 2,4 and 6 weeks.
