Puzzle enrichment is one of our favorite ways to keep those minds working! 🐶

🎃🐾 POV: The Paw Pals crew had their Halloween costume fittings! 👻

Our pups have been getting into the spooky spirit during Howl-O-Ween Prep Week with some costume desensitization fun! 🧡

But it’s more than just dressing up! Costume desensitization helps dogs gradually become comfortable with unfamiliar clothing, textures, and accessories through positive experiences.

🐾 Builds confidence with new experiences

🎃 Helps reduce stress and anxiety around costumes

🐶 Encourages patience and positive associations

💚 Helps pups feel more comfortable and confident during Halloween festivities

At Paw Pals, we introduce costumes slowly, use positive reinforcement, and always prioritize each pup’s comfort!

Now for the fun part… swipe through our little costume fitting photo dump! 📸👻

🐾🚪 TRAINING TIP TUESDAY: GATE CONTROL!

Good manners start before the gate even opens! 🐶💚

At Paw Pals, we practice gate control with our daycare and boarding dogs as part of their daily routine!

By encouraging our pups to sit, wait, and move through doorways only when given the okay, we’re helping them build important skills like:

🐾 Patience & impulse control

🐶 Focus & self-control

🚪 Safer, calmer transitions

💚 Better everyday manners

It’s not just about teaching a sit, it’s about building good habits that carry over into everyday life!
