Kathy's Art in the Garden

Kathy's Art in the Garden Art and gardening has been so important to me all my life and I find great joy and peace in creating my art as well as when I'm in my garden.

Nature and people are inspirations to me. The beauty of a child, a rose, a spring day. This I wish to share.

Moosk is the latest pastel I completed. The moment I saw a picture of this beautiful girl reminding me of my beautiful girl Boo. It's always wonderful to remember our loving pets. It fills me up with love 💕

Finished two pastel paintings that show the beautiful color in white fur.

Phoenix. That's his name. When I saw this beautiful boxer I was thrilled to draw a pastel portrait of him. I'm so happy to complete this for his family who miss him dearly.

Every time I see this drawing, I think of my Dad. It was so long ago. The fox grapes were ready for harvesting. Mom and Dad would make jelly that was so flavorful. Dad had picked the grapes early in the morning and carefully placed them in the paper lined basket. He then placed the basket on my porch.
When I opened my front door I could smell the rich, ripe smell of the grapes. They grew wild on my parents property. As children, my siblings and I would swing on the large vines like Jane and Tarzan.
Dad was a thoughtful man. Everyone loved him so. I know he gave me the basket of grapes to make jelly for my family. But I wanted to make the image last longer.
By the time the drawing was completed the fruit flies were enjoying the grapes. Needless to say I never made jelly. Instead, I have my image at the bottom of my stairs that reminds me of so much joy and love.
Happy Father's day. Miss you Dad. ♥️
