How many of us can say we have an adoring companion who loves us unconditionally?

One who’s loyal, attentive, and full of affection—whose warm gaze feels like a hug for the soul. Relationships like that are rare. But they do exist.

Meet Trove.

A cat who proves that love, no matter how long it takes, is always worth waiting for.

Trove came to Pet Haven in 2023 after being rescued from a bad situation. He was one among many, living in chaos—not as a pet, but as a survivor. Still, even in the noise and neglect, Trove quietly dreamed of a home of his own.

That dream nearly came true.
His first love, Sally, adopted him and brought peace into his life. But life shifted—Sally’s job required constant travel, and Trove was left with unreliable care. With a heavy heart, Sally returned him to Pet Haven, asking us to help him find the home he truly deserves.

And that’s exactly what we intend to do.

Now 8 years old, Trove is a soulful brown tabby with the heart of a poet and the manners of a knight. He greets every visitor like an old friend, always ready to curl up in a welcoming lap.

We like to think of him as a medieval bard—serenading the shelter with gentle meows, his golden eyes shining with hope. He’s on a quest for something noble and true: a forever love.

Meet Coke: A couple years ago, Coke was adopted from Pet Haven and found a loving home—until an owner abandonment left him injured in Texas. He was taken to a vet by a kind Samaritan, who was able to figure out how to get him to safety. Thanks to our partner-in-the-trenches Lake Lowell Rescue , we were able to fly Coke back to safety to heal and eventually find a new home.. His story is proof that a tiny chip can literally save a life.
