Did you know? If you’re lucky enough to have a pug cuddled up beside you right now, take a moment …someone, somewhere, poured their heart and soul into giving that little life a chance. Pug puppies are not easy to raise — in fact, they are among the most vulnerable breeds during their first eight weeks of life. Due to their brachycephalic (flat-faced) anatomy, many pug puppies struggle with breathing and nursing, and without intense human care, up to 40–50% of newborns in poorly managed litters may not survive those early weeks. Responsible breeders stay up for nights on end, tube-feeding the tiniest pups, keeping them warm and breathing, and sometimes even grieving the ones they couldn’t save, trust me I know and its the worse sinking feeling you can feel.... an immense feeling of failure and loss. If you’ve been blessed with a happy, healthy pug, thank the person who dedicated those first critical weeks to making sure your best friend made it through. It wasn’t luck and it was not easy — it was love, sacrifice, and many sleepless nights.❤️

Five years ago this past Mother’s Day, I brought home my very first pug, Cinna. From the moment we met, I was completely smitten by him—and the rest is history. Today, I am the proud parent to three wonderful pugs (Cinna, Smokey, and Stella), fulfilling a dream I’ve had since childhood. They are more than pets—they are my babies, my joy, and a cherished part of our family and my future when my kids are grown and gone. I feel incredibly blessed to not only share my life with them but also to contribute to the well-being of this amazing breed. Being part of their journey, and helping pave the way for a brighter future for all pugs, is a true honor.❤️
