Most dogs don’t like to be pet on their head by strangers. Instead, if you want to say hello and you’ve asked their guardian, say hello verbally and allow the dog to choose if they want to be pet. If they come closer for a sniff, leave your hand at your side. Allow them to sniff and initiate a pet, then pet their side behind their shoulders and stop. If they want more, they’ll let you know. Consent is important for dogs, too.

ATTENTION ALL Pet Owners, Lovers, Rescue Advocates & Supporters 🐾🦮🐶🥰🐱🐈🐾

This year, for the first time, AGWC Rockin’ Rescue will be hosting a Garage Sale Fundraiser on September 12, from 10 AM until 12PM in the parking lot or our facility.

There will be gently used animal supply goods (i.e. collars/leashes, dog houses, bowls, etc) available for purchase at super discounted, garage sale prices! We understand that we may not be the only ones to accumulate animal supplies we do not have immediate use for, so we will also be accepting a trade-in of supplies as payment for our Garage Sale goods. For trade-ins, we would accept vacuums, cat litter, kitten food, gently used toys, beds, dog or cat food and treats. If you have something you were wondering if you could trade in, feel free to call (818-348-6000) and inquire.
