With the extreme weather conditions and heat index in our area over the next several days we need to keep our pets cool and safe ☀️🕶️

🐾 Provide cool temperatures with fans or air conditioners
🐾 Do not leave pets outside or in vehicles
🐾When going for walks, do so in the early morning hours or late evening to allow for cooler temperatures
🐾Take extra precautions in brachycephalic breeds (Pug, Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Shih Tzu, Boxer, etc), older/geriatric pets, and pets with underlying health conditions such as heart disease, tracheal collapse, laryngeal paralysis, etc
🐾Know the signs of heat stroke (in photo) and seek veterinary care IMMEDIATELY
