Big things are happening at Hansill & Rigsby Livestock!

We’re excited to announce several upgrades as we continue working to make our facility better for both our buyers and sellers. A brand-new outdoor arena is underway for future events, and we’ve started spray foam insulation inside the sale area with A/C coming soon!

We’re doing everything we can to create a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. Huge shoutout to Jordan and 3rd Generation Insulation for getting us taken care of so quickly and doing a great job on the insulation project.

We appreciate everyone’s continued support and can’t wait to show you what’s next!

Due to an abundance of interest, we are proud to announce our FIRST scheduled jackpot barrel race! We are excited to bring everyone together for a fun, competitive night under the lights in Myakka City!

⏰ Schedule:
• Gates Open – 5:00 PM
• Open Arena / Exhibition – 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
• Race Starts Promptly at 7:00 PM

🔥 4D Barrel Race
💰 $1,000 Added Money
💥 80/20 Payout

Entry Information:
• Open Entry Fee – $40
($30 Entry Fee + $10 Added Money)

Side Pots:
• P*e Wee (10 & Under) – $10
• Youth (11-17) – $30
• Senior (45+) – $30

🐴 Exhibition Runs – $5 per horse (must stay forward motion)

⚠️ All contestants MUST sign a liability waiver prior to entering the arena on race day. This means no horse or rider in arena until signed.

🌦 This event will be WEATHER PERMITTING. In the event of a rain out, all money will be refunded and the race will be rescheduled for a later date.

Hansill and Rigsby livestock hopes everyone had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. Most importantly, we are thinking of and honoring all of our armed forces and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸🙏

We spent the weekend with family at WEC watching the barrel races and wow let me tell you what an awesome show! Great job to all of the racers throughout the weekend. The talent, horsemanship, and competition were incredible to watch. 🐎🔥

We also wanted to let all of our friends and supporters know that we have a special announcement to make… we are building a brand new outdoor arena at the barn! 🎉

This new arena will help with showing horses off during sale day, and we also plan on holding jackpot barrel races. We will also be putting in roping boxes for breakaway, team roping, sorting and calf roping events.

We are excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more updates as progress continues. Stay tuned for event scheduling and more announcements coming soon! 🤠
