We would like to thank absolutely every single person and group who has shared this post and showed this kitten some love! We are very pleased to report that this need has been met, and this little car-loving kitty has a foster home to grow up and thrive in!
However, our dear friends over at FOMAS could always utilize more fosters (cat and dog!), to be able to save more animals in need!
‼️FOSTER FOUND‼️
This little mechanic disguised as a kitten found his way to the clinic yesterday after being found under the hood of a car. We have come to the conclusion that he perhaps spent too much time around the engine, because his own little motor produces the best purrs!!!
He is around 6-7 weeks old, and would greatly benefit from being raised in a home setting. He is a very sweet and friendly kitten, but tends to act more shy in his cage. The events of the last few days have left him a little scared and in need of some TLC. As soon as I got him out of the cage this morning, he immediately climbed to my shoulder, gave me the best purrs, and then proceeded to shout in my ear as if to tell me all about his life story, in true orange cat fashion 😉. He is using the litter box, has been treated for fleas, and has a great appetite for wet food.
Friends of Metro Animal Shelter has graciously offered to accept this baby into their rescue, however they do not have any cat fosters available at this time... FOMAS will help supply food and litter (and anything else needed), and will have him neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Now all he needs is a foster that is willing to open their home for a few short weeks until he can be adopted out.
If interested in fostering this kiddo (or any others currently in need), please reach out to Friends of Metro Animal Shelters or message the clinic, and we will get things rolling
