We’re at the Mustang Farmer’s Market at Wild Horse Park this morning, Saturday June 21st, from 8am till noon.
We have the usual, Tomatoes, Green Beans, Okra, Squash, Zuchini, Cucumbers, Onion, Potatoes and of course our famous Artisan “Brine Pickles” as well as Homemade Salsa.
This morning we also have “Smoked Corn”, freshly picked and fully cooked/Smoked….so good, heat and eat.

This is incredibly hard to write but I feel that I have to…
I started “Growing” blueberries and Blackberries back in 2010. I grew enough that I sold to locals but quickly found that my plants were producing to the point I needed to secure a broader market. After a little research I settled on “The Mustang Farmer’s Market” . The people that I met at my first market, now that I’m looking back, had in a very profound way changed my life. Yea I know that sounds maybe a little too profound but as I look back those folks did change me and how i looked at farming…it is hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it.
I can say without a doubt that I was incredibly fortunate to meet a couple “Working” their table selling freshly grown vegetables…they were the Deuprees, Harry and Debbie.
I could ask Harry anything about vegetables…and I mean anything and he would know it. His boundless energy to encourage, to help, to mentor..truly the finest example of a Christian man with the gentlest of souls. Harry instantly became one of my closest and dearest friends..honestly more like an older brother. ( His favorite curse word “ Oh MY”)
I’ve been truly blessed with a great loving close family and some of the best friends you could ask for.
Unfortunately I recently lost my middle brother Scott Howard Sloan to MS about a month ago..truly devastating.
Now we’ve lost Harry Deupree a couple of days ago. I can’t put into words how truly sad I am writing this, not because I miss Scott and Harry but because i dont have the words to do them justice. They both lived their lives well and it’s been God’s blessing to me to be part of their lives and for them to be part of mine. God has blessed my brother Scott and my great friend Harry…that I know.
God’s grace on Debbie and her family and on Harry’s Sons. Miss you guys so much. I’ll

It dried up enough that we’ll be open today ,Monday June 16th, from 5 pm till 7 pm…..for Green bean picking, Okra, Onions , Potatoes and Zuchini. Hope to have prepicked beans available as well. I’ve already pulled and am now drying the Onions as well as the potatoes. Zuchini will be prepicked as well. Hope to see you all there this evening. Thanks and God’s Grace.

Good Morning and happy 2025 Market season. We’re at the Mustang Farmers market at Wild Horse Park this morning, Saturday June 14th, from 8am till noon. Perfect cool opening day weather.
We have Green Beans, Okra, Obions, Squash and Zuchini with a couple of Cucumbers.
We also have our Homemade Salsa and Brine & Co. homemade Artisan Pickles.

Today is Thursday June 12th and we’re officially done picking Strawberries..the constant rain has ended our season a little earlier than usual but we’re looking on the bright side.. Tomatoes, Squash, Zuchini, Green beans, Okra, Onions, Peppers and potatoes are starting to put on.
I’ll pick Friday for the Mustang Farmers Market at Wild Horse Park Saturday 8 am till noon. Gonna be busy..got tons of GREEN BEANS TO PICK so if you want to pull a bucket up and pick your own..message me or give me a call and we’ll see about setting a time $3 lb you pick..or you can wait till Saturday mornin and buy some I’ll pre- pick $4 lb Okra is getting close as are the Squash so I’m keepin my fingers crossed.

Today is Wednesday June 4th 2025 and we are officially soaked to the bone. We’re completely saturated and can’t open for picking until we dry out. I’ve got no idea how long that’ll take..if the rain stops and the sun comes out and we warm up we’ll reassess at that point and I’ll post our status at that point. We’re in that wait and see mode. We’ll be open today, Saturday May 31st, from 2-5pm for Strawberry picking. (We’ve dried out enough)
And with the caution of ….our 15,000 Chandler Strawberry plants are small and immature with their share of weeds. They’ve endured HISTORIC RECORD RAINFALL and still have managed to put on Strawberries…small but SUPER SWEET. So with a little effort, folks can find and pick their own Strawberries.
I’ll also be pulling some of our famous “Mustangdailia” Onions…first of the season.
