Muscatine Humane Society Our goal is to find all of our animals loving, forever homes. We hold several fundraisers throughout the year.

The Muscatine Humane Society operates as an animal shelter and a city pound for stray animals as well as owner surrendered animals in our community and surrounding areas. Our mission is to educate the public about the importance of and dire necessity to spay and neuter their pets, to prevent the needless suffering that follows overpopulation. Concurrently, the Society provides a safe haven for los

t or abandoned animals until their owners or a new home can be obtained. The humane society is a privately owned non-profit organization which is funded by personal donations. Without fundraising the humane society would not be able to launch any new programs or fund new projects.

The Muscatine River Maidens 🏉 stopped by today with a wonderful donation of pet supplies AND spent some time walking our dogs for some much-needed exercise!

This guy has been stray for 4-5 weeks. Hes a young adult Pitbull mix with a blue eye on the right side. He has no microchip and the family who is keeping him can no longer keep him. We are currently at capacity and need to make room for more animals coming through our doors. If you’ve been thinking about adding a cat or kitten to your family, now is the perfect time! ❤️

A few important things to know:
🐾 An approved adoption application is required before adopting.
🐾 If you are adopting a cat, you must bring your own pet carrier. We no longer have carriers available to lend out for adoptions.
🐾 Adoption fees are waived during this promotion only.
