So This is Zuma. I could soooo own this dog. He only wants to learn and please you. He could do agility, flyball, nose work or obedience. His spirit is deteriorating, living in a kennel all day and only running in our exercise yard. He needs a purpose, and to use his brain. He's less than 2 yrs old and has been awaiting that special person. Some call him a Texas Heeler.

Here's Lloyd, another great dog who has been overlooked. He's a 4 yr old Border Collie mix. He would be a great addition to any family with older kids. He lives to go on walks.

Several barn cats still available. We only adopt them out while the weather is still warm so they can adapt before winter sets in. Barn cats are cats that for one reason or another are not suitable for indoor homes. Many have litter box issues, some don't want to be handled and cuddled. Some are destructive indoors and others are just semi feral and do not care to be in any kind of captivity. All of them, however are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

This is Benny. He's just a small little guy but he makes everybody smile. He doesn't mind living in a kennel day in and day out because he has faith that there is somebody out there who needs his company. Certainly, there must be a retired person out there who needs a companion???? Right???? Benny is about 10 yrs young and would love a daily walk, a couch to nap on and his very own person. His adoption fee is $185.00

We will be closed Saturday, Sept 27th, due to the construction (sorry for the late notice!).

If you were planning to browse our animals or are interested in adopting, please stop by on Monday instead, we'd love to see you then!💕 We will be in to answer the phones and if course care for our pets, but we are not presentable enough for visitors.

Sugar and Stewie invite you to dress your pet for the Muscatine Humane Society Howl-O-Ween Bash on October 18th, in the Canine Activity Center of Muscatine! They will be there to join in on the fun! Soup supper begins at 4:00pm and goes till 7:00pm. Pet Costume Contest is from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

In memory of her beloved dogs, Lucky & Cocoa, their mom donated their supplies/belongings to our shelter -- which will help us give back to the community by offering an array of pet items at a lower cost. She also gifted us with a monetary donation to help our animals that are still waiting for their home.
Lucky & Cocoa are frolicking in heaven together, finding their favorite friends💕
