🐾 Meet Layla 🐾 (Anatolian mix, approx 2yrs old, available to adopt soon).

Layla lives at a homeless encampment and is the devoted mama to 10 six week old puppies.

Last week, she suffered a painful foot injury. We did what we could, but it was clear she needed real medical help. That’s when Maureen and the incredible team at Project Animal Companion Care stepped in.

They met us on-site, treated Layla with care and compassion, and gave her the relief she so badly needed. From a raw, open wound to being bandaged, cleaned, and comforted. Layla’s recovery is now underway.

💛 Project Animal Companion Care provides free veterinary care for dogs living with their owners on the streets. They bring hope and healing to animals who would otherwise go without.

We’re so grateful for their partnership and their commitment to showing up for the dogs no one else sees.

🚨 ODIN NEEDED SURGERY 🚨
Our sweet boy Odin gave us a scare this week. After his neuter, he started bleeding heavily. His sc***um swelled dramatically. He was in pain, miserable, and we feared he might need a full scrotal ablation.

💔 We got him in ASAP to see Dr. Drelich, at vineyard veterinary hospital. He and his staff were all amazing. Dr Drelich performed a neuter repair. Bloodwork, IV fluids, full anesthesia monitoring, pain control, and multiple medications were needed to get him through safely.

This is what rescue really looks like. It’s not just catching strays, it’s being there when things go wrong, and fighting for their lives when they can’t fight for themselves.

Odin’s vet bill: $586.09

We are stretched thin right now with the dogs in our care and we urgently need your help to cover these costs.

💥 $5 Friday – Can You Spare a Life-Saving Five? 💥

We’re a small team facing BIG needs. Every day, we’re out in the heat, catching abandoned dogs, treating injuries, feeding starving strays, and covering emergency vet bills, all with limited resources.

If 100 people gave just $5 today, we could cover medical care, food, and shelter for dozens of dogs in crisis.

Please help us keep going. 💔

One dog. One meal. One rescue at a time.
It starts with $5.
