Part 2!
Our programs teach riding skills and horsemanship to all different ages and levels of humans and horses !
From young kiddos to adults, all with our own sets of challenges.
From seasoned professional barrel horses to once wild mustangs with no training to ponies with bad habits and in between!

All these competitors started out as beginners through our lesson programs. This group had a great time as you can see supporting and cheering for each other and working together as if this were a team sport. As you read note that few have their own horses with this competition being their first for both rider and horse! They started out as beginner lesson students lessoning through our leveled programs and then most lease a horse to compete and now these students own and board their own horse at Juniper Trails, learning all about how to care for a horse through lessons and supportive ranch work life.
Giving lessons is pretty amazing watching students grow in skill and confidence but helping those continue their dreams to find a horse build a bond train that horse and add skills and confidence as a horsewoman or horseman is incredible and a passion! And truly a blessing we love being part of!

Part 2 of the V Spurs gymkhana recap! Here is all of our prize winners from the day.

Bella and her horse Mocha had an awesome day placing them 4th overall in FC 15 and under earning themselves a lead rope. They even got through hurry scurry like a pro! Great job 👏

Miya rode Max the lesson horse. Max is a big step up from LeeRoy, but Miya handled it well! They placed 4th overall in the A division for 15 and under. They also got to pick out a lead rope. Way to go Miya and Max!

Guess and I ended up placing 4th in FC 16 and older as well earning a lead rope. Guess had some ups and downs, but she pulled through in the end 🖤

Gabbi and Mak the lesson horse received a salt block for placing 3rd overall in FC 15 and under. They also had the smoothest hurry scurry run out of our group. Great job!

Sophia stepped up from Annie the lesson horse to LeeRoy the lesson pony at this show. They did amazing placing 2nd overall for FC 15 and under earning a bottle of liniment. Way to ride Sophia! LeeRoy isn’t the easiest, but you got the job done and got it done well!

Hannah rode her horse Goof to win a bottle of liniment for 2nd overall in A 15 and under. Good job Hannah! Goof has come such a long way. You’re doing a great job with him!

And last, but not least, our biggest winner of the day! Alicia rode her horse Lady to win FC 16 and older. They received some nice reins for all their hard work. Alicia’s goal was to help Lady slow down and get more rideable through the patterns for when our other riders need a backup. They certainly accomplished that goal and beat everyone else while they were at it 😂😂 Great job!

Huge thank you to all the volunteers that run this amazing gymkhana club. Thank you to all the friends and family members of our riders that support them in every way possible. You guys are truly appreciated 🖤

We had so much fun at the two day gymkhana in Warner Springs! Like last time I’m going to do our gymkhana recap in two posts.

Reagan rode Max in AA winning 4th overall for the weekend. They also won some jackpot money 💰 Great job!

Gabbi rode Mak the lesson horse. They did amazing improving so much from the last gymkhana!

Sophia had a horse swap to Annie this gymkhana. They did so great. You’d never know it was there first event together. Good job girls!

Reagan rode her horse Farley winning 5th overall in her division. That got them a really nice saddle cover.

Hunter rode her horse Leroo. They took it nice and easy focusing on getting Leroo the practice hauling and staying overnight. She handled everything very well!

Molly rode her baby horse Hank the first day. They did really well taking it nice and easy. The overnight stay ended up being too much for Hank stress wise so they scratched the next day. Good job Molly on making that call.

Beth rode her horse Belle in their second competition ever. They did so amazing! Good job for sticking out that crow hop session the first day, first event too Beth!

Cynthia rode the Peppy horse winning some money in the jackpot. Good job Cynthia!

Colbie rode her horse Snickers. They did so amazing! We had a couple pattern malfunctions, but that’s okay. Pretty soon they’ll have all those patterns down easy peasy!

Katelyn rode Scooter. They really kicked it up a knotch this weekend. There were some ups and downs that come with the speed change, but overall they did so amazing. Good job being brave!

Karly rode the Sugar horse. They learned a lot this time around. Good job Karly for sticking it out and learning a new style of horse. That isn’t easy to do!

Julia rode Mareica in her second competition ever! You’d never know she started riding less than a year ago. Great work this weekend.

Kailey rode Surprise. This was their first competition as a team. They did so great and learned a lot about one another. I’m excited for the rest of their gymkhana season!

Thank you to all the volunteers that make these events happen! Thank you parents for supporting your kids in this sport they love!
