STILL SPOTS AVAILABLE FOR THIS FUN CLASS!!!!
NOVICE RALLY
Please call A Dog's Way Inn to sign up at 843-357-4545

Classes are pending to start Monday February 10th but we must have a minimum of 4 clients to start a class.

Novice Rally Class: Mondays at 3:30 pm (every Monday for 6 weeks class for $180.00)

What is AKC Rally? Rally is an engaging way to test your dog’s obedience skills through various signs that guide you on different commands. This is not a basic obedience class, so your dog should already have a foundational understanding of leash manners and sit/down commands before enrolling. If you struggle to control your dog on a leash or cannot get a basic sit command, this class may not be suitable for you.

Benefits of Rally:
The advantages of AKC Rally include:
Mental Stimulation: Rally encourages dogs to concentrate, listen to commands, and respond to cues from their handlers.
Strengthening the Bond with Handlers: Rally fosters a close partnership between dogs and their owners.

Enhancing Obedience Skills: AKC Rally helps reinforce and elevate fundamental obedience skills such as sitting, staying, heeling, and coming when called.

Connecting with Like-Minded Individuals: Participating in AKC Rally allows you to meet fellow dog enthusiasts.

Exercise and Enjoyment: Training with your dog in AKC Rally provides both physical activity and fun.

Non refundable class!
Call us at 843-357-4545 to sign up for your spot in the class.

A Dog's Way Inn is also having a STAR puppy group class. This will be a 6 weeks class and will begin on Wednesday, February 19th at 5pm. The cost for this class is $180.00. Please call A Dog's Way Inn to sign up. 843-357-4545
Please know that this class is for ALL ages of dogs!

THE FOCUS IN THE CLASSES...........................

Week 1 Introduction to Dog Training
This class will teach you how to begin hand signals and verbal commands for the basic obedience positions while stressing the importance of paying attention to dog body language and how/why dogs are responding in certain ways.

Week 2 Leash Walking 101
You will learn WHY your dogs pulls and how to stop it and
how to properly use an appropriate leash and collar to teach your dog to walk on a loose leash. We will test you and your dog with handling distractions (other dogs, people and noises) and work on ‘real life’ scenarios to make YOU a better handler when it comes to leash control.

Week 3 Stationary Work
Your dog might be good at tasks like sit/stay and down but how will he/she handle those commands with other dogs and people around. What if a ‘cat juggler’ walks down the street? Will your dog sit/stay or run away into traffic? Do you trust your dog to follow basic commands.
This class will help you refine the basics: sit, stay, down stay, front position and heel position with focus on YOU instead of the environment.

Week 4 Come When Called
How to get your dog to come when called even with distractions.

Week 5 Motivation and Practice
How you can incorporate obedience skills practice in your every day interactions with your dog. Lots of fun ideas to keep you and your canine companion happily working together.

Week 6 Skills review
You ask--we teach. This class will be highly influenced by the needs of the group. Come ready with your questions. Future training opportunities will be discussed.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Well, I am finally getting around to posting about the Canine Carnival that took place last weekend on Saturday 16th.
It was an amazing day! Weather was beautiful, the people and their pets were awesome. Had lots of raffles and silent auctions. About 15 vendors, 3 food trucks and most importantly 8 different rescues/Shelters out there.
Carolina Boxer Rescue All4Paws, Kind Keepers Animal Rescue, St Francis Animal Center, Grateful Golden Rescue, Black Tie Boston Rescue, Grand Strand Golden Retriever Rescue, WARM

A Dog's Way Inn sponsored this event with the help of so many volunteers. Without their help it wouldn't have gone as smooth as it did.

The final number on what was raised was $3800.00. Each rescue/shelter voted on splitting the money amongst all who were there that day. Each one got $475.00.

Thank you to all who participated in this amazing event.

Whoa!! What a crazy, busy, amazing, blessed and grateful day yesterday at A Dog's Way Inn with Anne L. Ritchie .
Had our 20 Year of Business Ribbon Cutting with Georgetown County Chamber. Then finished off the day with a Celebration of Life for Harris Willard. The man who started it all and in his way!! Lol

10/24/2024

Good morning!
I had a long time Park Customer inform me that we didn't update the information that the park is still open to the public.

MY APOLOGIES TO EVERYONE!

It has been a crazy year with Alot going on with Padlo's passing. (He is missed every day). The accident with Anne. (God bless her, she is doing amazing). Closing of Barking Dawgs Tavern. (That so many people miss) And now the passing of Harris. (The man who wanted to keep it all going)

The park is still $8.00 per pet per day. We do have park passes. 10 days at $50.00 for 1 dog. $80.00 for 2 dogs.

Everyone must be registered and vaccines of Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella are required.

Thank you to all of our amazing customers for your continued business and support. We love your pooches too!

Any questions, please reach out to us at 843-357-4545
Have a howling good day!
