SHELTER POLICY: FREE SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES FOR HOUNDS, BULLY BREEDS
Starting July 1, the Animal Care Center will offer free spays and neuters for large-sized hounds and bully-type dog breeds twice a month.
These include hounds, foxhounds, coonhounds, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs, Cane Corsos, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers that are non-brachycephalic breeds.
This comes as the ACC continues to see an increased number of hounds and bully breeds and mixes within our population.
The low-cost Animal Care Center clinic offers spay/neuter surgeries, basic vaccines, and microchipping at a low cost for our community members. These are offered as a community service, and service can be refused at our veterinary staff’s discretion.
