So I want to talk about what I have done in just the last month. 19 fawns have came threw my care, 5 have been euthanized. This is the hardest thing to do, physically and mentally and it proves over and over again people are just stupid and heartless! Yesterday bothered me so bad, someone took a fawn in that was blind, kept it for 2 weeks without any knowledge. There's a 90% chance if they would have reached out to a rehabber it could have been treated and been able to see again. Sometimes I get them and people have held in to them and I can't get them back healthy cause it's been so long. They have to fed every 4 hours even threw the night, you have to make sure you don't spend allot of time with them so they don't get so socialized to people and then can't be released. Although it's a tough job it's also so rewarding and I'm lucky to be able to help the rehabbers. So if you or someone you know find a fawn please call and ask someone before you grab it, it wil give it a better shot at living.
