Microchips are proven to reunite more pets with their families!

On , we're sharing a few important reminders on the importance of microchips:
➡ 1 in 3 family pets will get lost
➡ Microchipped dogs are more than twice as likely to be returned to their owners and microchipped cats are more than 20 times as likely to be returned to their owners

And remember, while microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen, a microchip only works if its registration information is up-to-date and accurate. Visit avma.org/CheckTheChip to learn more.

Please see Sam's story below. Sam's family had him current on Rabies vaccine which may have saved his life and his family a great deal of heartache.

When we harp on the importance of Rabies vaccination, this is one situation we are trying to protect both you and your pets from.

This one is close to home and exposure can happen without your pet ever leaving the house! ❤️

My name is Sam. I played with a bat that tested positive for rabies, in my backyard here in Trigg County! I was vaccinated for rabies at TCVC prior to this incident though so me and my family are happy and healthy!

Be like Sam and stay up to date on your rabies vaccines for dogs and cats. It could save them and your family a lot of heartache!

We were honored to host an amazing group of senior students and their advisor from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine last week as part of their Practice Management Rotation.
