🐾 Help Us Find Cooper's Family! 🐾

Meet Cooper! ❤️

This sweet boy was brought to Animal Medical Center last week after being found by some members of our community. Unfortunately, after dropping him off in our parking lot, they left before we could gather any information about where he was found.

Cooper does have a microchip, but it has led us to a family in another state who told us they rehomed him quite some time ago and are no longer his owners. At this point, we've reached a dead end and are hoping our amazing community can help.

🥵🌡️ It's not just HOT... it's HUMID! 🌡️🥵

Your pet isn't being dramatic... they're basically wearing a permanent fur coat in a sauna. 😅🐶🐱

When humidity is high, pets can't cool themselves efficiently because panting doesn't work as well. That means even temperatures that don't seem "that bad" can become dangerous very quickly.

☀️ Keep your furry family safe by:
💧 Providing plenty of fresh, cool water
🏡 Keeping outdoor time short (especially during the hottest part of the day)
🚶 Walking early in the morning or after the sun goes down
🌳 Sticking to shady areas whenever possible
🔥 Checking the pavement with the back of your hand—if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws!
🚗 Never leaving pets in a parked vehicle... not even for "just a minute."

🚨 Know the signs of heat exhaustion:
🐾 Excessive panting
🐾 Drooling more than usual
🐾 Bright red or pale gums
🐾 Weakness or stumbling
🐾 Vomiting or diarrhea
🐾 Collapse

If you notice any of these signs, move your pet to a cool area immediately, offer small amounts of cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact us right away!

Remember: If you're sweating just walking to the mailbox, your pet is feeling it too! Let's help them stay cool, safe, and ready for cooler days ahead. ❤️🐾

PSA from your dog's anxiety: America's 250th birthday is coming... and your pup would really prefer we not celebrate with surprise explosions. 🐶💥

If your dog turns into a 70-pound lap dog, hides in the bathtub, paces the house, or suddenly believes the couch is the safest place on Earth when fireworks start, now is the time to refill their anxiety medication!

Please don't wait until July 4th (or July 3rd... or July 2nd 😅). We expect a high volume of refill requests, and we want to make sure your furry family member is ready before the festivities begin.

🎇 Call us today to request refills.
🏷️ While you're at it, double-check that your pet's microchip information is current and that they're wearing a properly fitted collar with ID tags. Fireworks are one of the busiest times of year for lost pets.

Well... Mother Nature has officially RSVP'd "NO." 🌧️⛈️🐾

After keeping a close eye on Saturday's forecast, we've made the difficult decision to postpone our Block Paw-ty. As much as we wanted to celebrate with all of our amazing clients, pets, food, games, and fun, we'd rather not turn it into a "Splash Paw-ty!"

🌟 NEW DATE: Saturday, July 25th! 🌟

We're definitely bummed (and we know many of you are too!), but we want everyone—two-legged and four-legged—to have a safe, dry, and paws-itively awesome time.

The good news? This just gives you one more month to perfect party outfit, practice your pet's best tricks, and get even more excited for all the fun we have planned!

The 4th of July will be here before you know it! If your pet needs calming medications for fireworks anxiety, now is the perfect time to request refills. Waiting until July 3rd may result in some very disappointed furry family members. 😅

Today we had the pleasure of seeing sweet little Hashbrown for her wellness exam! 🐾💛

Hashbrown arrived with her signature corgi confidence, tiny legs, and a very important mission: to collect compliments from every person in the building. We’re happy to report that she was wildly successful.

She charmed the staff, accepted treats like a true professional, and reminded us all that happiness can, in fact, come in loaf-shaped form. 🍞✨
