ALGER COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER FACILITATES ANOTHER FOSTER TO ADOPT.

ACAS had another Meet and Greet today with Buddy and Dan. We think this went really great and Buddy will be living in a wonderful home with lots of love and attention.

We are so thankful to Dan and Susan for making this possible for Buddy and giving him a safe haven.

About a month ago, we began helping sweet Newt the Beagle find his new home. We are so happy to share that he’s settling in wonderfully! 💚

Newt has been loving life with his new family, especially spending time outside with his new four-legged brother. It looks like he found himself a pretty great best friend, too! 🐶

Hello Animal Lovers! We are desperately looking for an emergency foster home for this beautiful one year old boy, Buddy. Buddy is unsafe in his current location and we are looking to get him placed in foster care as early as this evening. This could easily turn into a foster to adopt situation if you’re interested, or it could just be temporarily fostering to ensure the safety and well being of this gorgeous boy. ACAS crew diligently working daily to get the Shelter ready to open. We've been completing different projects in phases and our volunteers have been at the shelter daily completing projects. Right now the Shelter crew is working hard on the Outside Kennel and Fencing Project.

A great big THANK YOU to all of our donors for donating toward our Kennel and Fencing Kick Off Fundraiser and in making this possible. A great big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers working hard to meet this goal.

Thank you Tim, Ron and Greg for being there today in getting the project ready for another phase of the fencing installation. You guys are amazing and work so hard!

Hello again, Mira!

Mira was adopted from the shelter almost exactly three years ago! Since then, she’s lived all over the Upper Peninsula (with the same parents, of course… they just move a lot! 😂) Now, her and her family have officially made their way back to Munising!

Welcome back, Mira! She’s loving life in her new home, but her favorite part is getting to spend time with Bella… when Bella allows it, anyway!
