The Midwest Liberty Horse Club is a chapter of the International Liberty Horse Club.

The MLHC is dedicated to helping others reach their liberty goals through lessons, clinics, training and shows!

Question for you!

We are working on planning another Midwest Mix and need your feedback!

First off-would you rather we hold the show Memorial Day weekend (May 23-24) or in June (date TBD)?

Also, we want to “mix” it up this year! Would you prefer a combo show that is a fun dressage (and more!) show Saturday with the ILHA show Sunday, or a practice show Saturday where you practice patterns and get judge feedback and the ILHA show Sunday where you put that feedback to the test?

Let us know! 2026 is coming soon! My goal is to offer more to members this year, so let me know what you guys want!

The MLHC manager was quite busy at the Liberty Festival a couple weeks ago! Club managers panel, Judge’s panel, Teaching Liberty to Kids clinic and lots of judging! It was such a great week!

Our last clinic of 2025 is coming up November 21st-23rd! Don’t miss out on all the fun!

Our next Liberty Clinic will be November 21st-23rd. This clinic is open to ALL levels of participants! No experience needed! We also offer a few different options for this clinic! No horse but interested in liberty? Guess what-we have 8 trained liberty horses that are available for use.

We will work each horse individually in both the morning and afternoon. We also try to get some group halter and lead exercises and touch on mark training.

We have 4 clinic options for this clinic. We have a 2-day clinic option, a 3-day clinic option, and this year we’re rolling out the “Full Debbie” and the “Half Debbie” packages!

Congrats to the MLHC club manager on her win in the ILHA invitational Freestyle @ the Midwest Horse Fair last weekend!!

Our Mock/Practice show is coming up May 10th! Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to get comfortable with those liberty patterns!!

Friday evening will be a Show your Horse at Liberty mini clinic. This clinic will Cover Flow of the show, warm up pen tips and tricks, how to set you (and your horse!) up for success, and pattern practice! $100/person for the mini clinic.

The practice show will be like a dressage Ride a Test. You choose your patterns (as many as you want!), we will run the show similar to an in-person show so people get confident with showing, and you get to practice a pattern with judge feedback! Discounts for MLHC members!

Registration due by May 3rd!
