These are 2026 hatches and range in age from hatch dates 6/22/26 through 8/9/26

Colors consist of:
Violetta Black shoulders
Mixed pieds (most likely IB Pied)
IB split midnight
Indigo/ Hazel

I never imagined I would have to make this post. These two boys came into my care after my dear friend passed away from cancer, and it has been my honor to love and care for them. Unfortunately, due to my own health, I can no longer give them the time and attention they deserve. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I know my friend would want what is best for them—a home filled with love, companionship, and care.

🐾 Finley – Middle-aged neutered male Border Collie
Finley is a sweet, intelligent boy who loves having a purpose and would thrive in a farm setting. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, children, and farm animals, including horses, cattle, and birds. Finley does occasionally jump fences, but only because he wants to be close to his people—he never runs away. He has an adorable underbite that doesn’t affect him at all. He is happiest when he has a job to do and people to love.

🐾 Lane – Older neutered male Texas Heeler (Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix)
Lane is a loyal companion who simply wants to be near his people. He tolerates other dogs and is good with cats and children. He would make an excellent companion for an older person or couple looking for a calm, devoted friend to share life with.

Come spend some time with me in the Spalding pen. Up close and personal with Johnny! I think he's settling the others down and getting more use to my presence.

Last week I unfortunately was down all week with a back issue so I didn't get outside hardly at all. I was able to sneak out Saturday and sit just for a few minutes, before my back forced me back inside to bed. This was my time out that was much needed after 5 days in bed.

I'm not good at being layed up for that long, and as guilty as I felt for not being able to even function, my body needed the reset and forced me to take the time to recover.

I'm slowly getting back to feeling better, but learning to try to listen to my body is gonna be hard for me. I'm so used to just being in pain that I tend to ignore it and just try to push through. Pain or not, there's thing that need done.

Anyway, if you've made it this far, enjoy sitting out with me in one of my happy places.
