Hi Teresa!
"I hope you don't mind me giving you a report early this year.......but we are still, six years later, so extremely thankful of the gift of Lego! He is the BEST dog ever.
He is living his best life and is lovingly called the "ball park" dog by many families as he is always at his brothers' outdoor athletic events!
This month, he tore his CCL and had to have TPLO surgery, but we are to thankful to say that we are three weeks out and he is doing AWESOME!
In celebration of his "gotcha" day six years ago, we just sent over a donation through Chewy of food and treats! We are so very grateful for you taking care of him for his first 4 months as he is our favorite child still (even over those three human brothers! HA!).
I have attached pictures of him enjoying life and recovering from surgery (still smiling through a cone!)".
--Have a great day!

This is Lora Parish. I adopted Lilly in July 2025. I renamed her Patches. She wrote a couple paragraphs about her day and I thought I would share with you.

Patches' story...
"Our day starts about 730 when I notice it's daylight. Sometimes I sneak over and we share her pillow. Then we get up and I go outside. I have my own door but I like for Mommy to open the big door. Mommy starts her breakfast and fixes my breakfast. She says I need doggy food to keep me healthy. We eat our breakfast and she lets me have the last couple bites from her plate. Yum.
We usually play tug of war after breakfast. I'm very strong so I always win. She likes that game but after a couple minutes, I'm ready to do something else, like chase a ball or chew on some of my other toys.
We usually watch some TV or listen to a book and i take a nap. But 2 or 3 days a week, she says it's a bridge day, then she gets in the shower. That makes me sad cause I love my Mommy and I want her to be with me. She gives me a nice treat when she leaves. When she comes home, I'm laying on the back of the couch by the front door so I don't miss a second with my Mommy.

Sometimes we go for a car ride. My tummy doesn't like bumpy roads so Mommy got me my own seat cover.

When it's time for bed Mommy always goes in the little bath. So I know it's time for me to sneak down the hall and jump up on the bed. Sometimes she fools me by going in that little bath in the middle of the day and I think it's naptime. When Mommy comes to bed, I crawl under the sheets. I'm very quiet and Mommy goes to sleep. But I sneak out during the night so I can sleep on her pillow."

Gracie's adoption update:

"Gracie is doing fantastic! She has blossomed since we last spoke.

She and Willow have settled into a routine. Gracie has calmed a bit. Willow has taken a Big Sister roll and helps Gracie to be more confident around new situations, dogs and people. We go on walks most evenings and she is starting to enjoy car rides and jumps in and out with ease.

I enrolled Gracie into a dog obedience course. She is so smart and getting more confident with each class! The instructors have also noticed. I also have started taking her to daycare. It took her a few times to get into the routine and used to the staff. She seems to enjoy it and both dogs come home exhausted!

Yesterday I took the dogs to get a spa day. She did well overall, but didn’t like the dryer. 😂 She got a bath, an overall trim to her coat and paws.

I’m so happy I reconsidered keeping Gracie! The house is louder and more hectic with a younger dog, but our little family is complete with her!" Angela R. Tulsa, OK
