This Sunday is the Springfield bird fair. I will be there with a variety of rescue birds. I can't bring all of them. I will also have used cages, playstands, and whatever I have extra off..
What I hopefully won't have is my sinus infection. It's not a good time to get one, still trying to get everything ready though. Hope everyone can make it.

It is always nice when you have a buddy.
The parakeet is handicapped and can't fly, so the cockatiel adopted him. They sleep together, eat together, and just hang out.❤️

I’m starting to run low on cleaning supplies.
Just put the last roll on today. It does tend to go fast with 41 cages.
I bought some of the micro fiber towels to try them for drying cage trays and the walls etc. they have worked well and hold up, plus they don’t leave all kinds of lint in my dryer like the old beat up towels I was using.
I do wear a mask when I’m grooming and also when cleaning. I do clean a lot but with this many cages best to be safe and save my lungs.
Finally the quinoa, that is one of the primary proteins sources for the birds. They love it and I mix it into their fresh food. I Used the last of it today.
If you can donate anything to help out , I would greatly appreciate it. I know money is tight for everyone, so I try and limit what I ask for.

I've been asked what I feed at the rescue. So here is what I put in my chop.
Walmart mixed frozen vegetables
Collared Greens
Radishs
Yellow squash
Zucchini
Apples
Sweet potatoes
Quinoa
Pasta
Jalapenos peppers
Bananas and grapes are cut and added every day.
In addition, various nuts are offered in a separate bowl. They include shelled walnuts, cashews, shell almonds, and pistachios.
A third bowl of pellets is offered so I can help balance the birds diet.
Lastly, the birds get a fresh water bowl, which is changed daily. I don't use water bottles because in my opinion people get lazy and don't clean them often enough and they get contaminated.
Finally, if they are good birds, or even if they aren't. The birds are offered birdy treats, including birdy oven baked cookies, nutriberries, and banana chips.
I also offer some seed mix as I feel as all birds need some type of seeds. Some seed are more fatty than others, but you do need to offer stuff that they will eat, which can be a challenge with rescue birds.

For a change, I decided to post 4 of my monsters anxiously watching me prepare their breakfast.
