Cleveland wants to tell everyone that he is only wet from his bath, not yesterday storms.
Both the tornado and dust storm missed us.
Dust storm went north, and the St Louis tornado went about 10 miles south.
We had some rain with very strong winds. There is no damage to the shelter and all the birds, and George is fine.

Update for the week.
Im tired!
For those who came to the bird fair, thanks for coming. There were a lot of you.
I got to see new people and old friends.
For people who put in applications, I'm getting to them.
I live alone, except for the giant dogs. So, the grass has to get cut, I had a doctors appointment, had to make fresh chop, plus care for both the rescue birds and my flock this week.
So again, I'm sorry I haven't had time yet to answer everyone's emails, messages, and voice mails. I'm getting there.
Scarlett was successful in getting me to take a break and cuddle her.

Springfield bird fair is Sunday.

Now that I'm back from yet another bird clinic, I need to get ready for the fair. loading carriers, cages playstands into the trailer.

These are the tentative birds I will be bringing on Sunday.

Plus, Tucker my educational hyacinth. Who will pose for photos and maybe some cuddles.
I can not bring all the birds.

The birds will stay in their cages for both their safety and yours.

To adopt, you still will still need to meet all the adopt requirements.

No birds will be adopted out at the fair.

I hope to see a bunch of you on Sunday. It will be a fun day.

May 1st is the Springfield bird fair!
Tucker and I will be there.
I will bring some gently used cages, perches, and some toys to sell. These are all surplus, and the money will be used to support the rescue.
I will have some of the adoption birds for you to meet. I can not bring them all.
No adoptions will take place at the bird fair.
You will still need to fill out an application and be subject to the home visit.
Tucker will be there. He will pose, allow photos, and some people may hold him.
He is a very gentle bird, but he does get tired, so if he starts getting grumpy, then he will take a break.
I will not force him to do anything he doesn't want to.
He will visit on his terms only.

I do visits to the Mulbury Grove Illinois shelter between 1-5.
Everyone enjoy your holiday, I will be spending mine getting caught up at the shelter.

I've had thunderstorms all night. I get to the rescue, and out of the shelter kitchen window, I see this dog. He is tied to a post with a flooded barrel on its side to shelter him at my neighbor house.
So he is sitting in the rain watching for whoever left
Him.
I took and dried him off and gave him some food and water. He won't come into the shelter he just stares at the street.
My neighbor is an ass for leaving him like this.
He has a dry towel on him as a blanket, and the porch is dry.
I'm pi**ed that someone can do this to an animal.
Sorry, I just needed to vent.
