COPS N CANINES DAY is a free, annual Family-friendly community get-together at the Rice Twsp municipal park, corner of Church Rd and Nuangola Rd, just 100 ft off the I-81 Nuangola exit (you cant miss it).

The stars of the show are Maverick, Mountaintop's K9 Officer and Rice Twsp Officer Brian Stout, his official supervisor and handler. They will demonstrate many of the tasks a K9 unit can respond to.

We emphasize that this is a FREE event to all involved. No charge for admission or participation in any of the events, no vendors fees.
There will be a basket raffle and 50-50 drawing with ALL proceeds going to the K9 unit, but these are strictly voluntary.

We have a number of fun events planned for all attendees, both 2 legged and 4 legged. All pets are welcome but bringing a pet is not mandatory to participate and have fun. Face painting, Doggie parade, dog (and/or human) costume contest, pet trivia, best behaved pet, 'draw a dog' contest for kids, and more, with prizes for all the winners. DJ Carol will provide music. Many of our vendors will do demonstrations of their skills and products, plus have prizes and giveaways of their own !

Across the street, St Martin's Church will be having their famous Hot Dog BBQ and bake sale with great Eat-in or Take-out foods along with other fun activities.

Although we hope for good weather, we have full use of the park pavilion and will have several pop-up tents for guests and vendors.

MOST IMPORTANT: SPREAD THE WORD!! We advertise our event in the papers and on social media, but NOTHING compares to simple word of mouth! Tell your friends, neighbors, co-workers (even total strangers ! ). The more the merrier! Hope to see you there!
