Our second mama, Burnt End, gave us 14 more piglets! She had 15 but one didn’t make it. Bacon is doing well with hers but we lost the little runt. Little miss did all she could to help make him comfortable with lots of snuggles. 25 piglets total for these first time mamas! 😱

While checking on the cows I was being followed by two little cuties. Then when they thought I had a treat, it was bailing twine not a treat, I had lots of followers. I didn’t get a picture because 7 cows following you is a lot more intimidating than a couple little cows. 😂

Last addition at least for about a month and a half! A little girl! We tallied up all the animals today, we have 9 cows (3 are new babies), 6 pigs (with 2 of those being pregnant sows), and 5 sheep (2 of those being new babies)! I can’t believe how much our ranch has grown! We are on the fence about keeping the sheep but they are cute.

A welcome site after a stressful morning. I woke up this morning to mama with a large prolapse after having baby yesterday. After an hour at the vet prolapses were pushed back into place and she was sewn up. She is home, eating and baby is nursing. Glad she is okay.

Yesterday we finished the brooder box in the bottom of our coop. We put the two hens and one rooster in there and moved our 4 free range girls into the coop so they can all get to know each other. Then we put the other 3 roosters into our freezer.
