It's not animal control until you've watched a baby skunk take a bath in their water bowl.

We typically do not handle wildlife, but on occasion our wild critters need help.
These two little stinkers have to be transferred to a wildlife rehab. Unfortunately their mother left them behind, and they are too young to be on their own.
Hills N Hollars Rescue will get them raised up, and once they are self sufficient they will be released to go do skunk stuff.

And in case you were wondering, no, I did not get sprayed, and yes the shelter currently smells terrible.

Meet Hippo! He is an adult male that is neutered and vaccinated for Rabies.

Hippo is very friendly, and loves being pet and to rub on your legs. He uses the litterbox well. Overall he is an active and friendly cat.

There is no fee to adopt Hippo.

Meet Mango! He is a big loveable guy who is already neutered and vaccinated.

You'll see in his pictures, that Mango likes to stick his tongue out. This is because at one time, he suffered from a jaw injury. We had the vet check him out, and it does not appear that his jaw causes him any pain or discomfort. He does still eat dry cat food, but I have been offering him wet food because it's a little easier for him to eat, and he just REALLY likes wet food.

Mango is a laid back guy. The only time he takes a break from snoozing is when it's time to eat.

Mango has been vaccinated for rabies, and will come with a nutritional package from Urban Dogg.

There is no fee to adopt Mango.

This is Trigger. He is approximately 2 years old, and is believed to be a lab mix, large size.

Trigger is a big loveable guy. He knows how to sit, and enjoys going for walks. Trigger has spent his life chained up outside, so we do not think he is potty trained, and he does pull on the leash and will need a strong owner who is willing to work with him on his pulling. Trigger has been great with the other dogs at the shelter, and friendly with everyone he has met. He is not cat safe and will chase.

Trigger is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He will come with a voucher for a free rabies vaccine and a nutritional package from Urban Dogg.

It is $25 to adopt from the shelter.
