What a wonderful cool day for the first day of August!
It is so nice to be able to call the Mares and babies at their evening check and them not be all sweaty from the heat and humidity!

We couldn't be happier with how level headed our foals are..🫡
Rowdy definitely is worth his weight in gold when it comes to passing on his brains and sound mind to his offspring 🫡🫡💝

We spend quality time with each of our foals and trailer them also🫡🫡🤭🤗

Today Shasta went to her new home and this is a video of her being taught to lay down.
This is something we do with all of our foals before they leave our ranch as they are being weaned. We have several reasons for doing it but the main reason is just to teach them to trust us. The trust that a prey creature has to have to put themselves in such a vulnerable position to a "predator" is truly something to behold when they come to realize that this person is really not going to hurt me!
Some of them fight it for a while but most of them just pick it up so quickly and it can be so beneficial to their future training down the road!

This Blue Roan c**t has shed out and is turning into quite a looker!

He is Homozygous roan by parentage and has the possibility to be Homozygous black as well. He is 6 panel n/n by parentage and will be weaned and looking for a new home sometime around the 1st of September. We will hold until weaning with a deposit.

He will have the size, looks and brains to go any direction you want to take him!
