Mermaid is so precious. She isn’t hissing, she was in the middle of talking to me 😍 I love how playful and bashful she is. Loves treats, her sisters, sitting in cardboard boxes, doing the Halloween cat pose and meowing at me. She will be available for adoption soon! Get those pre adoption applications in 🥰

Monkey was the first of Matilda’s kittens to be spayed (she is a 4.8lbs chunk who comfort nursed even though she’s been eating kitten kibble since June 🙈) and she is not happy about it. She is available for adoption once she heals 🥰
If you’re looking for a kitten who is low maintenance because she just wants to do cat stuff, get some treats and be unbothered, Monkey is your girl!

My sweet baby man, Rocko is back with me, in a home, where he always belonged.
His story wasn’t supposed to end this way. We were lucky enough to love each other for six days and now I’ll continue to love and remember him for the rest of mine.
Thank you to the people who donated, loved him with me and sent such warm and kind words.

Rocko forever 🤎🤍🖤

My heart is broken. Yesterday Rocko was neutered and although he was FIV+ I did not expect him to have any complications. This morning he was overly lethargic and had not eaten so I rushed him to my vet where they immediately put me in a room, took his temperature and checked his neuter site. His temp was 96° and his gums were very pale. The incredible vet tech immediately wrapped him in a blanket, and surrounding him with heating pads to get his temperature up. They ran bloodwork and my vet let me know that his hemoglobin, hematocrit and RBC levels were extremely low and he had little to no platelets in his blood. He would need blood transfusions and several days of intense hospitalization to potentially fight this. The thought of him being an hour away in at an emergency vet, with strangers, being poked and prodded with only the small chance of him getting better was something I couldn’t bare to put him through so I made a decision to let him go. I stayed with him for the 2 and a half hours we were at my vet and I never took a hand off of him. I cuddled him, trying to warm his body, kissed him repeatedly and told him how much I loved him. Rocko deserved so much more than just six days of safety and affection; he deserved everything that is good in this world.

He will be privately cremated to then come home to me where he will stay and be remembered for the rest of my days. If you would like to donate to his cremation and medical bills you could call Hillside Veterinary Clinic directly or donate to my Venmo -Pillow

Spay and neuter your pets, remember that FIV sucks but the cats who have it rule and in honor of Rocko, be kind to all kinds.

Rocko forever 🤎

Fiona had some glamour shots done and TALK ABOUT A GORGEOUS GIRL!!!
How is she still available for adoption?!
Spayed, negative for FIV/FeLV and heart worm, dewormed and treated with Revolution. She is a sweetie who loves to be held, cuddled and snuggled. Prefers treats at all hours of the day and any other time upon request. Loves her pink quilt and kisses on her cheek.

New resident alert! While setting up for my agency’s Color for a Cause race, my coworker met this sweet boy and text me about him. I went over to Ariel Foundation with some food and a carrier. He loved the food and hated the carrier so I carried him to my car and let him free range. I am not sure if he has ever been inside before but
I’m excited for him to experience his first night with a full belly and peaceful rest.
