🐾❤️ AFTER A YEAR… DUKE FINALLY FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! ❤️🐾
For almost an entire year, Duke called the shelter home.
For a year, he watched people walk through our doors. He watched other dogs get chosen. He watched them leave with their new families while he stayed behind, patiently waiting for someone to finally say…
“That’s the one. We want DUKE"
And y’all… this boy didn't just get a home.
He got a HUGE backyard of his very own to run and play in! 🥹🐾
After spending so much of the last year looking at the world from inside a shelter kennel, Duke now gets to run through his own backyard, stretch those legs, roll in the grass, soak up the sunshine, and learn what it feels like to truly be HOME.
No kennel door closing at the end of the night.
No wondering when someone will choose him.
No more watching everyone else leave.
This time, Duke was the one walking out the door. ❤️
There are some adoptions that hit shelter staff a little differently, and this is definitely one of them.
Duke, you waited a long time for this.
But buddy… your turn finally came. 🥹❤️
