Day 6 of Dory Days 🎂 Something else Dory was good at was getting into trouble! By 3 months old she had already had a plastic foreign body and ingested toxic mushrooms, twice. In her lifetime, she's had around 50 X-rays (who says radiation is bad??!!) for various blockages, three needing surgical removal! Now you ask, how can an owner let that happen over and over? Own a Dory and you'll be humbled! 90% of what came out of her, I wasn't even sure where it ever came from! Dory also LOVED to play hide and seek, even in a fenced, albeit wooded, yard. Seaching for her in plain sight. She was a master at Where's Waldo! She scaled high fencing only to be found later, calmly hanging upside-down. 🙄 Her final close call for another abdo surgery was at age 15. (photos) The ER vet was concerned she wouldn't survive surgery due to her heart murmur but luckily, she passed it on her own. And who knows where she got it (plastic) as she had not had access to plastic for years and years! So.... Dory is an expert at trouble, one of her best skills! 😆 I'm grateful in her old age a.) she cannot outrun me anymore b.) her teeth cannot chew plastic anymore!
