Mama gave birth to SIX beautiful pups! Guinea pig pups are born with their eyes open, covered in fur and ready to romp. If you listen closely to the belly of a late term expectant mother, you can actually hear the babies teeth grinding and chattering in her belly!

Update from Kovach's Cavies:
The herd seems to be enjoying their new home, and it has already proved its security when the same dog visited again (twice) 🤦‍♀️. This past Wednesday we took a total of 20 little piggies to market. On to their new homes they go. 🙃💖🐹
We will be doing a live veggie feed here this weekend. Trying to keep things calm in the shed as there are several pregnant sows about to give birth.

The last couple of days have been very busy! Today we finally moved the entire herd into the shed, one at a time, after a good bath. After adding a few more lights, we are leaving them to explore their new home and get used to each other.

We're getting there! Walls are done. Shelves have been cut and framed, going up now. Then we will figure out where to place the ramps. 👍🏼🐹💖
