Annual PSA for the horse owning public.
When a horse owner expects or asks for a discount on services provided , whether it’s their vet , trainer , hay guy, or farrier , they are asking the service provider to help pay for the owners hobby.
Most service providers are already overworked and underpaid .
It’s not their responsibility to subsidize your chosen hobby. I don’t know many service providers in the horse industry that are getting rich caring for horses.
I know it’s hard writing those checks , I write them for my family’s horses too. Horses are expensive.
