⚡️ The Village's Electronics Recycling Drop-off Program starts back up tomorrow!

From April 9 to October 29, residents can drop electronic materials at Public Works (1700 W. Central Rd.) on Wednesdays from 10 am - noon, holidays excluded. Materials can also be dropped off at the Glenview Transfer Station (1151 N. River Rd.) every Saturday throughout the year (closed on day following a holiday).

Did you know? Cats use their claws for more than just scratching—climbing, balancing, stretching, and defense! Declawing isn’t just a nail trim—it’s an amputation of the last bone on each toe, similar to cutting a human finger off at the first knuckle. It can lead to lifelong pain, behavioral issues, and increased biting.

The good news? There are plenty of alternatives! Regular nail trims, nail caps, and scratching posts (especially with sisal rope!) can help redirect scratching. Worried about furniture? Try deterrents like double-sided tape, sprays, or even tin foil.

Come meet the Mount Prospect Fire Department's Emergency Management and Fire Prevention team members! This Saturday, April 5, they are hosting a free Disaster Preparedness Expo from 10 am to 2 pm at Fire Station 14 (2000 E. Kensington Rd.).

Attendees will learn about dealing with flooding, turning off and on utilities during natural disasters, how Village first responders operate in emergencies, and much more to make sure you and your loved ones are prepared. Additionally, the expo will include prizes and giveaways.

This is an all-ages event that will go on rain or shine.
