BIRD FLU: Keep cats safe! Cats are very susceptible to H5N1, also known as bird or avian flu, but at this time the overall risk for exposure and infection is believed to be low. The virus has ravaged poultry farms, leading to the mass killing of over 150 million birds. Now, it's been detected in dairy cows, cats—even humans.

Signs of H5N1 infection in cats:
⛔ Respiratory problems like coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, trouble breathing
⛔ Lethargy
⛔ Neurological disorders, such as disorientation or trouble walking
⛔ Sudden onset of severe disease or death without prior signs of illness or injury

STRAY DOG WITH MEDICAL ISSUES please share!
👉 Male. Collar with no tags, no microchip. Appears to be a senior Dachshund/Beagle mix. Found near the Gratiot/Isabella border.

He ran out in front of a car and may have been hit, but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. He went to the vet today due to serious mouth discomfort and inappetence. The poor guy will scream out in pain if you attempt to touch his mouth. We learned that he has a very serious dental infection -- something he has likely been dealing with for a while. We have started him on medications but he requires dental surgery ASAP. If anyone recognizes this dog, please send a FB message or call us at (989) 775-0830.

We want to find their owner! If this cat is yours please contact us immediately. Kitty is not micro chipped and is full of fleas.

This very special guy is available at the Midland Humane Society. He is an elderly cat that really deserves a soft landing for his golden years.
