M&M
I would like you to show up and try him. We call this guy M&M. We took some video footage of him this spring that is available for you to look at by simply scrolling on our page. You can find conformation pictures of him there as well. He has been rode hard all spring and summer. M&M is tuned up and in fighting shape. This guy is absolutely incredible. He often appears to be perfectly quiet and unbothered however, he is young and loves to work. When he puts on his business suit, he means business. He has lots of go. M&M can cover vast amounts of mountain terrain, or big circles on the desert quickly without getting tired. Just to add icing on top of the cake M&M has a perfect back for holding a saddle. He is definitely low maintenance.
Because of the massive amount of hard use that we have given to M&M we’ve decided that it’s time to give him a little break. He will be turned out on top of a mountain for the next couple of weeks. So if you would like to come and try him out we would need to schedule enough time to spend a day together, going to the top of the mountain and riding in the beautiful remote regions of Utah. For somebody who wants a great young mule that could stay with them for the next couple of decades M&M is your guy.

This parade is good test for horses. It makes a U-turn at the end of Main Street. Eventually, horses end up facing some of the parade that is coming towards them. Not only did Misty take it like a champ with no blinders on. Her baby was taking her like a champ as well!

Do your plans ever meander away and get lost?
We have a short and silly anecdote for example. For several years, we were partnered on a little Mare named Blackie. She was an adorable little black horse with four knee-high socks and a blaze. At first Blackie was a riding/pack horse. Within a year or so she became a broodmare. Blackie was always bred to a draft horse and produced draft cross babies. Eventually, we saw a mare that would make a pretty good teammate with Blackie. We called this second mare Sports Socks. Sports Socks was all black with four knee high socks. We bought Sports Socks just to be a teammate with Blackie. We were so excited to make a wagon team out of a match set of black horses with knee high socks. We were set to be working these two mares until we had a jam-up set of riding/pulling horses.
Well, meanwhile , the perfect family came in and they had to have Blackie. So, we were left with half of a team again. A while later Sports Socks found herself a family too.
To put the story in format, the meandering went like this 1) partner on a riding/ pack horse. 2) turn using Horse into broodmare. 3) stop breeding Mare so she can be on a wagon team. 4) buy a teammate for the original horse. 5) sell the original horse. 6) Sell the teammate. 7) Sit around being amazed that nothing ever goes according to plans.
Just curious. You can put your short stories in the comments if you’d like. Is this how everybody’s horse business goes? Or does everybody else just shoot straight arrows that hit the target every single time?

Buttons.
We have a beautiful filly with a great personality that comes from incredible parents. Buttons shows a lot of eye appeal and she exhibits graceful movement. Both of her parents possess powerful and straight legs and also have sturdy hoof structures. All of the genetics that go into buttons are the ideal of soundness. Our purpose when breeding to get her was to have a strong little workhorse that is enjoyable for the whole family. We picked the perfect two parents to pair together that’d make this fancy little workhorse. Both parents have been consistent in making just the kind of ponies that we desire.
Her mother Misty (11.5h pony mare) has served our little family very well over the past several years. Misty works at Little shows and rodeos, taking care of our small daughters. She is also used regularly by our children as a trail horse and also to help with duties on the ranch. Misty is used as a pack pony carrying minerals and supplies. Misty also works under harness, pulling carts and doing light drafting work. Misty has shown what she can bring to the table as a mother. She always puts some beauty and Grace into her babies. And has also been consistent, installing intelligence and willingness.
Her father LexLynn’s Yukon Jack is a magnificent gypsy stallion. He has been used constantly for parades, weddings, and special events as a buggy horse. Yukon is a good saddle Mount. His strength and quiet disposition prevail in his offspring. Yukon is known to contribute stunningly good looks and also big manes and tails that match the feathery legs quite beautifully.
Buttons has a lot to offer. This filly is an awesome opportunity. Reach out with interest in her.

Posting for Father’s Day appreciation Forefathers’ Day. Here is a forefather for you to appreciate. Bold Ruler is the brown horse that is pictured. Bold ruler was the most well known speedhorse sire of his day. His most famous offspring was the immortal Secretariat.
When I saw the silhouette of Bold Ruler it instantly reminded me of our young horse that we call Thoroughbred Baby. Instantly I scrolled my camera roll to find a photo to compare the two horses. They are not posed in the same stance, but if you look you’ll get the idea. As coincidence would have it Bold Ruler is a forefather to Thoroughbred Baby.
Thoroughbred baby is sired by Zan parson, out of Battleship Baby. His dam is the parent that traces back to Bold Ruler. Link to sire and dam are posted below for those who are interested.
