There is a value and a story behind every ribbon you win! Parents... teach your kids the value in being proud of every placement they receive. Adults should take notes too!
When packing from the youth world, after the barns fell silent and the buzz of each day was gone... We were saddened to see so many ribbons and finalist medallions left behind.
We try to instill in our riders how proud they should be of where they are in that moment on their path. Did they want to do better? Sure.. but their reward for that day carries a story.. each story is different and a stone on their path. Don't ever overlook or forget the bumps in the road or what seem like boulders in the way. They will be a big part of your story in the end! Enjoy the accolades.. tell the stories and be thankful for the experience!!
We will be cheering for your reward regardless of if it's champion blue or your recognition of making it back to the finals! See you on the road somewhere soon!

I used to cringe at the word maintenance...

I would write off good horses....

I would discredit their credentials...

I would literally pass on a heck of a good animal...

Now I realize GOOD horses have maintenance....and they've earned that by countless hours in the saddle.

It isn't something to shy away from...these horses earned maintenance like a badge of honor. Wet saddle pads, late evenings... early mornings. They're tried and true. Give me a horse with maintenance because that means they've lived a life and have experience!
