🇺🇸🐾 Happy 4th of July from Healing Paws Veterinary Center! ❤️🤍💙

We hope you and your furry family members have a fun and safe holiday! As you celebrate, keep these pet safety tips in mind:

🌭 Keep tempting holiday foods out of reach, especially fatty foods, corn cobs, and BBQ skewers.
🎆 If your pet is nervous around fireworks (or this is their very first 4th of July), keep them indoors in a quiet, secure room. Close the windows, turn on a fan or white noise machine, and help them feel calm and comfortable.
☀️ Remember the heat! Walk your pets early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler. Hot pavement can burn sensitive paw pads, so stick to grassy areas whenever possible during the hottest part of the day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there—both human and furry

This year, in addition to celebrating the wonderful moms on our staff, we are celebrating a very special mama in our care. This sweet foster cat has been working around the clock caring for her tiny babies—keeping them warm, fed, and safe with so much love and patience. Watching her nurture and protect her kittens is a beautiful reminder that motherhood comes in many forms, and each one is powerful in its own way.

As a 100% woman-owned and mom-owned business, this day holds a special place in our hearts. We know firsthand the love, dedication, and strength that goes into caring for others.

We have been lucky enough to foster the most adorable and cuddly kittens from rocknrescue_ and they are eagerly waiting to find their forever home. As you celebrate with loved ones, don’t forget to keep your pets safe during the festivities:

- Skip the sweets: Chocolate and sugar-free candies (especially those with xylitol) are toxic to pets
- Watch the flowers: Lilies (especially for cats) and some spring plants can be dangerous if ingested
- Egg hunt hazards: Plastic eggs, foil wrappers, and small toys can cause choking or blockages
- Table scraps caution: Rich or fatty foods can upset stomachs or lead to pancreatitis
- Keep baskets out of reach: Grass fillers and decorations can be tempting—but harmful

Meet our newest (and fluffiest) patient, Milo.

This adorable little Goldendoodle puppy stopped by the clinic last week for his first visit and let's just say...we are all in love. From those soft curls to that wagging tail, he made fast friends with our entire team 💕.

First visits are all about gentle introductions, lots of treats, and making sure your pup starts their veterinary journey feeling safe and happy. This little one nailed it!

We’re so grateful for our amazing community this year.
Please note our holiday hours:
- We will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will open as usual on Friday December 26, Monday December 29, and Tuesday December 30.
- We will be closing early on New Year's Eve at 1pm and closed New Year's Day.
- Normal hours resume as of 8:30am on January 2nd
