Sharing our May 2023 Sales List
Meet the “On the Back Burner” horses! Farm owned and a bit behind but ready to go on!
Arctic Night- 6 yr old black gelding standing 16.1 H. This big, handsome gelding will be a standout wherever his new owner decides to put him. He is well broke and fun to ride, is well started driving and has been to a horse show to work and loved it! He has been in a double bridle but does need to be finished. He has a sweet disposition, nice gaits and could go in several directions. Does flat walk and halt with ease. He stands to mount quietly from either the ground or a mounting block.
Daybreak’s Arctic Bay- 5 year old dark bay mare, 16 H. This is an exotically beautiful mare. She has a lovely, hooky neck, a strong trot and a sweet disposition. She drives and is green broke to ride. Put some time in her and you will have a very fancy mare! She is good to work around and loves pampering.
SOLD Sea of Wishes- 8 yr old chestnut mare. 15.3 H. This versatile mare is well broke to ride, inside and out. Will work in an arena or go down the road. Game, sensible and has a super disposition and also racks!! Has been ridden by good riding jr exhibitors and has been started in a curb but needs to be finished. SOLD!
Lesson Horses (fun but too advanced for what our program needs)
SOLD A March Day- 20 year old chestnut mare. This lovely mare with a great neck is perfect to teach what a show horse feels like. Petit (may measure pony) so not intimidating but goes forward and sets up in the bridle! Drives, wears a full bridle and does canter. Sweet disposition and great on the ground. Has shown in the past and gone to a few shows with us to work and has been a solid citizen. We have used her for horsemanship lessons teaching kids of all sizes to halter, lead and put boots on. She loves kids and is learning to rate herself for her level of rider.
SOLD Glorious Gemini- 14 year old chestnut mare, 14.3 H. She is a game, go forward mare! Canters both leads easily, loves to ride out down the road. She would be an excellent practice horse or advanced lesson horse. Owner is leaving for college and she must be sold.
SOLD Sirocco - 13 year old gray gelding, 16.2 barefoot. This big handsome guy is in need of an occupation! He has been shown by adults and jr exhibitors in everything from 5 gaited show pleasure to walk & trot to hunt seat. He has been turned out due to lack of work and space. He is sweet, loves people and is good to work around. Let this eye catching gelding be your new best friend or show ring star! Trainer owned and priced to sell!
Broodmares
SOLD Even Better - 11 year old seal brown mare, 14.2 H. “Sweetie” is from a long line of the well known Happy Valley Farm breeding! By Harlem’s Friendly Conversation (by WCC, WC, RWCC, RWC CH Harlem Town and out of BHF Conversationalist) and the beautiful bay mare For Better who is by Merchant Prince and out of La Madrina (by Harrodsburg), second dam by Moreland Command, third dam by Bobby Sea). We don’t know much about her past prior to the Happy Valley dispersal but she quickly earned the name “Sweetie” and with minimal handling has been a good citizen and would make a great broodmare. We are planning on breeding her to our gray stallion Extreme Sport this year!
SOLD She Comes First - 8 year old bay mare, 15.3 H. This is a beautiful mare by WC, RWC (SA) Calif’s First Night Out. Her dam is a black granddaughter of CH Great Days Came The Sun (WCC, WC, RWC). She is confirmed in foal (due early March 2024) to the gray stallion, Extreme Sport. She is carrying her first foal. She has a great disposition, is easy to catch and handle, has no vices and has been ridden. PENDING!
