I found a six pack ring on the ground yesterday, uncut. People walking with me didn’t understand why I was upset. I said we have known better for 40+ years!!

This is Peanut. 🐢🥜 Her figure-eight shell was the result of crawling into a plastic six-pack ring when she was very young. That was in 1984.

The Missouri Dept. of Conservation says "her one-of-a-kind shape became her superpower" and that "her mighty message continues to remind people to put litter in its place."

Now, Peanut is turning 41 years old, and a big birthday celebration is planned for Saturday.

I put a balance ball in front of the gate so the puppies would have to hit it without thinking about it. It’s giving me great amusement! 😂🐶🖤

Yes, there are more than there were before. 🤭 Some of the puppies have gone home and come back while their family is away. Some are attending our head start program for a few weeks before going home. A couple are getting the benefits of our head start program while they wait for their families to find them. 🖤🤍💚
