These pics are in reverse order. The puppies got their first taste of mush for breakfast, and they LOVED IT! They don’t understand the concept of eating from a bowl yet, but they’ll suck it off my fingers. 😂 Next they got a sponge bath, and then Bruno topped them off. She’s been telling me that she wants to wean early, and who could blame her! They’ll have teeth soon to add to the joys of nursing more pups than she has milk taps for. We support her through most of her nursing sessions to keep her in the whelping box and ensure she doesn’t get too engorged. We will be adding feedings over the next week or so until Brunos’s supply tapers off. I usually don’t tell moms when to wean, they decide. I’m just here for support, to pay bills, and to take care of tasks that require thumbs. 🖤🐩🐾
