Humane Society of Morrow County The HSofMC is a 501(c)(3) organization aiding animals in need in Morrow County, OH. We offer programs to assist with the sterilization of the counties' pets.

We are managed by an all volunteer board and operate solely with the manpower of volunteers freely giving of their time and energies. Since 1974 our mission has been to promote animal welfare, relieve suffering and to educate the public. Our Animal Resource Center opened in 2016, our first brick and mortar location ever! We offer community assistance, educational opportunities and showcase adoptab

les there. Most of our adoptables are fostered in private homes but we do have a full time adoptable at our center that can be viewed during our regular hours OR by appointment. We pride ourselves in educating the public on the proper care and nutrition of any animal species and work long and hard on the sterilization of dogs and cats. We welcome any interest in fostering or volunteering at the community shows. Volunteers and foster families need not live within Morrow county to offer assistance but this is subject to review and approval. We offer monthly meetings open to the general public on the 2nd Thursday of each month at our 16 S. Main St. location.

Jake's story began a few months ago following a humane investigation. He was infested with parasites, and it was determined he'd thrive under our care. Many of you may recall his story from a community board post at Marengo Dollar General before he joined us. His momentary glimpse of fame sparked a groundswell of compassion and support. Now, he's poised to embark on a new journey where he can unlock his potential. He's impressive on a leash, has mastered all basic commands, loves car rides, and is eager to please. He's also good with cats and dogs and has received comprehensive veterinary care. Estimated to be approximately five years old, he'd flourish with an active adult who can provide him with the adventure and activity he craves.

This adorb girl has an approved adoption application. She will be leaving for her new home in Columbus, OH Friday a week from tomorrow. Her new owner and furry sibling are looking forward to her arrival!! Congrats Rennie!!

I am being showcased by the Humane Society of Morrow County in an effort to find me a permanent home. My siblings and I arrived as orphans, too young to be on our own and brought in by a kind citizen. I am one of the litters originally referred to as the ‘4 Tops’ that arrived in April 2024. After getting some much-appreciated love from our foster family I am now ready to take on life. I love, love to play and hang with the other cats here. I’m gentle, fun and love scratches, cuddling and all the attention I can get.

Here are my highlights:
• I am a spayed female born in April of 2024.
• I have been wormed, negative tested for FLV/FIV, vaccinated with the Felovax or FVRP vaccine and rabies vaccine.
• I am microchipped.
• I am good with other cats but have not been dog tested
• I am fun loving, affectionate, active, playful.

And most importantly I'm completely adorable!!
