We’re offering two whole pastured hogs — raised right here at Vine Tree Homestead on open pasture with sunshine, grass, and plenty of room to root and roam.

✅ $700 for the whole hog
⚙️ Processing fees paid separately to the butcher

🌿 Hey friends! I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to all my followers.

My name is Emily, and I own Vine Tree Homestead here in Polk City, Florida. Some of you may remember me from Violette Hill Farm in Mount Dora, where I founded and poured my heart into a beautiful farm school alongside Miss Freddi. Together, we built something truly special and shared it with so many amazing students and families. Those memories and connections will always mean so much to me. 💚

That chapter closed in a way I hadn’t expected, but it also opened the door for something new. I’ve since shifted my focus to my own homestead, where I’m rebuilding, growing, and finding joy in the simple, meaningful work that I love most.

Right now, I’m milking my sweet goat Abilene (with another joining us in November 🐐), raising pastured pigs and chickens for meat, and keeping a happy flock of laying hens for eggs. I also share the farm with my three pet cows and one very spoiled potbelly pig.

Thank you to everyone who’s continued to follow and support me through all the changes. I’m excited for what’s ahead at Vine Tree Homestead and can’t wait to share this next chapter of the journey with you. 🌾🐖🐓

At Farm School, your child will:
✅ Learn real-life farm science
✅ Care for animals
✅ Explore nature and get their hands dirty
✅ Build confidence through hands-on activities
Wednesdays Animal Husbandry Level 2 designed for children with prior animal experience . Perfect for those with farm animals at home or getting started . Curriculum will include Farm animal care, behavior ,
Farm to table , carpentry skills , fun science labs plus more.
Thursday Animal Husbandry Level 1 is designed for that beginner who has a love for animals . Curriculum will cover lots of farm animals from , care, breeds, products from animals , farm to table , hands on skills , fun labs, arts and crafts and more.
Friday Animal vet tech class is designed for the the aspiring veterinarians. This curriculum delves into crucial skills such as 1st aid , parasite management , vaccination and temperature assessment . Children will learn farm animal handling , bio security and much more .
Saturday Farm School Hybrid classes are designed for for all ages and skill levels . It will be “Life on the Farm “ Curriculum that will include a number of our animal husbandry and vet tech classes combined with mechanical and carpentry techniques .
