Why Does Eastside Academy Require a Current Rabies Vaccination? 🐾
At Eastside Academy of Dog Grooming, the health and safety of our students, staff, and every dog entrusted to our care is extremely important to us. ❤️
Rabies is a serious and potentially fatal disease that can affect both animals and people. Because grooming involves close, hands-on contact between dogs, students, instructors, and staff, keeping vaccinations current helps protect your dog as well as everyone around them.
Michigan law requires dogs to be vaccinated against rabies, with a valid rabies vaccination certificate serving as proof of vaccination.
For this reason, Eastside Academy requires every dog receiving grooming services to have a current rabies vaccination and proof of vaccination on file.
We know you are trusting us with an important member of your family. ❤️ This requirement is one small way we can help protect your dog and provide the safest possible environment while they are in our care.

The days surrounding the Fourth of July are one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets and for the staff at MCAC. Fireworks can cause even the calmest dogs and cats to panic, jump fences, slip out doors, or run away in fear.

Starting TODAY at 10:00 AM, Macomb County Animal Control is offering FREE microchips for all Macomb County residents to help keep your pets protected before the holiday.

🐾 No appointment necessary
🐾 Bring proof of ownership
🐾 The service is completely FREE

A microchip is the fastest, most reliable way to reunite you with your pet if they become lost. While collars and tags can fall off, a microchip stays with your pet for life.

Already have a microchip? Make sure your contact information is current. An outdated phone number or address can delay or even prevent a reunion.

Not sure if your pet is microchipped? Stop by and we'll scan them! You can also visit one of our FREE self-service MicroChip scanning stations located at:
