WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 AM EST THURSDAY

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
8 inches.

* WHERE...Huron, Macomb, Sanilac, and St. Clair Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Peak snowfall rates, greater than a half inch
per hour, are expected late afternoon through the evening, roughly
between 4PM and 2AM. Snowfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour
will be possible during the late evening.

all the schools (& community colleges) are closed today due to inclement weather. We think given how far most students drive in from, we should close the school. We'll be reaching out to reschedule any appointments for this morning, in a few- hang tight

What a thoroughly enjoyable class today! Misty Gieczys Igcms Pti was an absolutely stellar instructor. She covered hand stripping on 3 levels: AKC confirmation, competition grooming, and salon styling with appropriate applications. There was a vast amount of knowledge that she broke down into simplified terms and processes, taking time to make sure everyone understood what she meant and making it make sense when it didn't. Thank you so much Misty for being a great instructor, a friendly cheerleader, and an inspiring person! We'll have to have you back for another class ❤️

Befores and Afters of Tomagachi's trim! Tommy is one of our resident dogs and he's literally a favorite bean. He'll be kept in show coat as it grows out and be a huge help with teaching students how to properly care for sporting dogs coats and how to hand strip with stones ☺️

On Mondays we're closed to the general public, but our students are STILL busy learning! We watch videos and have class discussions, have instructor demonstrations, first aid and CPR classes, and practice for being the best groomers! Thank you for always trusting us with your pets' grooming needs and for your patience with our students as they learn!

Sometimes you need to practice on a mannequin before you have the confidence to clip a real dog... That's fair though!

Wrigley is always a good sport for helping students learn about caring for a sporting dogs coat! He's the best for raking, carding, and pulling those long hairs. It's worth it to him though to be showered with affection and looking his absolute best when he leaves.

Brian is one of our resident dogs and he's goofy on and off the table, but he's the best boy for our students to practice and learn hand sc******ng with!

Theo has a wirey coat on his body, and fluffier legs! We groomed him with hand stripping tools on the body and clipped and scissored his legs, feet, and face. He's the best doodle and looks almost just like a German Wirehaired Pointer's cousin ❤️
