You might notice that these 2 are both fairly sweaty in this picture. Their round pen session didn't start out great so they had to work a little harder today. Good news though! The training session ended perfectly.
We try to work in small sessions for the colts and build on what they already know. Just like people, horses sometimes have an off day. When that happens we find something simple that the horse can/will do so they can still be a winner. Then we just move on from there.
At the end of the day Dallas was a winner and Abbey was there to make sure he was!

Abbey does lots of groundwork and obstacles before actually getting on a horse. It might seem like extra work, but she'll be riding Dallas soon and he'll have extra confidence from their preparations.
